A lawsuit filed against Michael Jackson's estate details shocking allegations of sexual abuse involving the late pop star and four siblings from the Cascio family. The complaint, lodged in California's Central District Court, asserts that Jackson molested one of the boys at the homes of renowned celebrities Elton John and Elizabeth Taylor.
The plaintiffs—Edward, Dominic, Marie-Nicole, and Aldo Cascio—claim that Jackson was a "serial child predator" who began abusing them when they were as young as seven years old. They allege that the abuse lasted over a decade, starting in the 1990s.
According to the lawsuit, Jackson employed a range of manipulative tactics to groom the children, including providing them with lavish gifts, alcohol, and drugs. The suit claims he used code phrases to encourage them to engage in sexual acts and that he would ply them with wine and liquor, referred to as "Jesus Juice" and "Disney Juice.".
The allegations against Jackson include specific incidents of abuse occurring at the homes of John in the UK and Taylor in Switzerland. The plaintiffs contend that during these visits, Jackson took advantage of the trust he built with the family, using his celebrity status to isolate the children from responsible adults.
Marty Singer, an attorney for Jackson's estate, has vehemently denied the allegations, labeling the lawsuit a "desperate money grab." He pointed out that the Cascio family had previously defended Jackson for over 25 years, asserting his innocence during the 2005 trial where Jackson was acquitted of similar charges.
The lawsuit also calls into question the complicity of Jackson's celebrity friends in enabling his alleged predatory behavior. The complaint alleges that Jackson's staff actively helped conceal his misconduct by booking parents’ hotel rooms away from their children during international travel.
In addition to the abuse claims, the plaintiffs are seeking to void a 2019 agreement they made with Jackson's estate, which they describe as an attempt to silence victims of childhood sexual abuse. They assert that they were coerced into signing the agreement without fully understanding their rights.
The lawsuit highlights a troubling history of allegations against Jackson, which have resurfaced in various forms since his death in 2009. Earlier claims made by other accusers, notably detailed in the 2019 documentary "Leaving Neverland," have reignited public scrutiny of Jackson's legacy.
The Cascio siblings are now asking for a jury trial and damages, potentially including tripled damages because they were abused as minors. The case has the potential to significantly impact the public's perception of Jackson and his estate, particularly in light of the ongoing litigation involving other accusers.
As this lawsuit unfolds, it not only revisits the disturbing allegations against Michael Jackson but also raises broader questions about the responsibilities of those in positions of power and influence within the entertainment industry.
The court's decision on whether to allow the lawsuit to proceed or enforce the previous settlement agreement is awaited, with further hearings scheduled in the coming weeks.
