Allison Holker, known for her role on "So You Think You Can Dance," has announced her engagement to Adam Edmunds. This news comes nearly two years after the death of her husband, Stephen "tWitch" Boss, who tragically died by suicide in December 2022.
Holker shared the joyful announcement on Instagram, describing the proposal as the "most romantic night of my life." In her post, she expressed her deep love for Edmunds, stating, "I am forever grateful for you and the impact you have had in my life and my kids' lives." She added that Edmunds has played a significant role in helping her find herself again and learn how to love once more.
The proposal took place during a surprise birthday party organized by Edmunds, which Holker initially believed was solely for her birthday. The event transformed into a "surprise proposal party," featuring a heartfelt performance by singer Clinton Kane, who sang the couple's song, "I Guess I'm in Love." Photographs from the evening show Holker in a stunning red satin gown, while Edmunds is seen down on one knee surrounded by an impressive display of red roses.
Holker's relationship with Edmunds began about a year and a half after Boss's death. The couple made their relationship public during New York Fashion Week in September 2024, showcasing their bond to the world. Holker has three children with Boss: Weslie, Maddox, and Zaia. She noted that blending their families has been a "biggest blessing" in her life.
The announcement of her engagement follows a challenging period for Holker, including backlash over her memoir, "This Far: My Story of Love, Loss, and Embracing the Light." In the book, she discussed Boss's struggles with mental health and substance use, which drew criticism from some of Boss's family and friends who labeled it a "smear campaign." Holker defended her memoir, stating that her intention was to help others recognize similar red flags before it is too late.
As Holker embarks on this new chapter with Edmunds, she reflects on her past while also embracing the future. "You are my everything Adam," she concluded in her heartfelt message, promising to always support and love him.
The couple's engagement marks a hopeful transition for Holker as she continues to navigate life after the loss of her first spouse, celebrating love and family in their new journey together.
